We often wait until the final days of the year to begin thinking of our resolutions for the year ahead. We’ll eat healthier. We’ll lose weight. We’ll finally commit to achieving that one important goal. However, having done little to prepare ourselves to establish the good habits required to achieve these goals, we tend to falter a few days or weeks into the year.
If this has been your experience, don’t despair. This time can be different.
Good habits don’t happen overnight. They’re created over time. It’s not that New Year’s resolutions don’t work. We just need to lay the groundwork for those sweeping changes before the New Year.
What if when the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve, you’ve already established a practice of commitment to gratitude, fitness and good health?
You can. Join Hot Yoga TNT for our biannual 30-Day Yoga Challenge.
Renew your commitment to your health and well-being during this month-long daily yoga practice. Prepare your mind and body to meet your goals for the year ahead. You’ll be astounded by the results.
How do we know? Because the 30-day challenge worked for us and countless students who’ve participated over the years.
The 30-day yoga challenge can work for you too.
Are you ready to focus on improving your mental, physical and emotional well-being? Join our community of like-minded yoga practitioners at Hot Yoga TNT for daily classes here in the studio. Like you, each participant has made a commitment to put their health first for 30 days.
What should you expect during this challenge? Daily 90-minute classes consisting of 26 yoga postures and 2 breathing exercises performed in a heated room. It’s intense, sure; but well within reach. This class is for everyone from the beginner to advanced practitioners. Give it a chance and you’ll discover an amazing transformation of your mind, body and spirit.
A 30-day commitment to the daily practice of hot yoga requires discipline and determination. However, when you bring that level of commitment, you gain so much more. Trembling muscles get leaner and stronger. Joints gain mobility and integrity. Excess weight is shed. The laser focus required to hold a challenging pose translates to better performance at work, school or activities of daily life. Daily exploration of the transformative power of gratitude renews the spirit. Suffering from common ailments like asthma, insomnia, arthritis and stress abates.
Hot yoga provides an intense workout that increases mobility and develops strength while also providing a cardiovascular workout. The heated room relaxes the muscles, allowing you to deepen the stretch. With regular practice your technique will improve and your stamina will increase. By the end of the challenge, you may discover that your hips aren’t as tight or and that you’re finally able to hold that challenging pose.
Perhaps the 30-day challenge sounds like just what you’re looking for, but the idea of committing to sweat it out in our yoga studio every day for a month seems overwhelming. It’s okay. We once felt that way, too.
Push past the fear and do it anyway. You’ll be glad you did.
Take it one step at a time. First, commit to the challenge. If you’re using our Class Cards, start by registering for one of the monthly passes. Add your name to the 30-day Yoga Challenge progress chart. Then map out each day of the challenge by scheduling your classes.
Explain to your family and friends why you’ve chosen to make this challenge a priority and how they can support you in doing so. Invest in props, especially if you’ve never done a challenge like this before. A bottle of water, mat and towel will help you get the most out of each pose as you work toward perfecting them. If you’re nervous about taking on a challenge like this alone, enlist a buddy.
Be sure to hydrate all day. Continue to do so during and after class. Prepare to work hard. Expect to sweat – a lot. Know that the more effort you put into this challenge, the more you’ll gain from it.
What if you miss a day? Don’t be discouraged, and definitely don’t throw in the towel. Stay connected with the challenge through expressions of gratitude. Then double up the next day. Start the day with an invigorating, early morning yoga practice. Come back in the evening and end your day with a satisfying sense of calm.
